Agape in Action - The Beginning
Kristi and Cindy met on
a medical outreach to Guatemala
in 2002. They were touched by
the extreme poverty, lack of
health care, adequate
sanitation, food and overall
poor living conditions of the
people. Since that time they
have traveled to 13 different
third world countries on various
outreaches and have seen things
that have grieved them
enormously. They have now joined
together and formed a non-profit
organization called Agape In
Action. The goal of the
organization is to assist the
poor and needy with health care
and implement community
development projects such as
providing clean drinking water
and teaching the importance of
good nutrition. While short term
medical outreaches provide
immediate relief and are a
valuable service, our main goal
is teaching people how to
prevent disease. Serious
diseases in third world countries
are caused by contaminated water
sources. The first step is to
teach the people the importance
of using clean water and then
provide the means for them to
obtain it. Encouraging them to
be proactive and play a major
role in clean water projects
fosters self sufficiency and
maintains their basic human
dignity. They can know they
helped bring clean safe water to
their families.
Agape in Action is
funded solely by personal
donations. If you would like
to assist us with helping the
poor and needy of third world
countries we would greatly
appreciate it. We realize there
are hundreds of organizations
and charities you can choose
from to support and we do not
take lightly the responsibility
we have when people choose to
support us. We are honored and
humbled by that and we commit to
use the money wisely. We are
governed by a Board of Directors
that oversees and approves how
the finances are used. Please
feel free to contact us should
you have any questions or
concerns.
May God bless you
abundantly for your willingness
to help those whohave so
little.
